Hong Kong is not know as a budget destination, however there is a multitude of things to do that are free, or at the very least cheap, that makes visiting Hong Kong viable even for the most budget conscious travellers. The Peak look out, museums, street art and yummy dim sum… Hong Kong does have cheap ways to explore!
Street art has come a long way from the days of simple graffiti and tags. Street art is booming worldwide! Many cities are embracing this expressive art movement and Hong Kong is not being left behind. HKwalls is a non-profit organisation that organises an annual street art festival every march in Hong Kong. From these festivals many creative wall murals now adorn Hong Kongs streets, lane ways and shop-front shutters.

Hawke’s Bay, on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island, is actually New Zealand’s oldest wine region with a history beginning as early as 1851. The area has a temperate climate, and being one of New Zealand’s warmest and driest regions it is perfect for producing the award winning wines it is famous for. Hawke’s Bay is known predominately for Bordeaux style reds, Chardonnay and the famed Gimblett Gravels.

Port Adelaide has been transformed into a giant, outdoor gallery as result of the 2015 and 2017 Wonderwalls Street Art Festivals. Wonderwalls is a 3-day mural festival that has been held in Wollongong and Port Adelaide (Australia) several times over the past few years.

Port Adelaide has many well preserved 19th-century buildings, in fact, Port Adelaide has one of the best concentrations of colonial buildings in South Australia. In 1982 a considerable part of the town was declared a State Heritage Area. The “Walk The Port” self-guided heritage walking tour has over 40 points of interest, including 17 heritage listed buildings… so grab the FREE “Walk The Port” map and hit the streets to discover Port Adelaide’s colourful history!

Street food is a quintessential experience of Thailand should not be missed. Don’t limit yourself to hotel restaurants and other fancy venues; if you do, you will miss out of some of the most sense stimulating food there is. Thai food looks exciting, smells delicious and is a tastebud’s delight. Vivid, aromatic and piquant… it ticks all the boxes.

The largest railway museum collection of paraphernalia, exhibits and artefacts in Australia. There are over a hundred exhibitions displaying not only South Australia’s railway history, but that of Australia and the private operators also. Heaps to entertain children including free train rides!

When you walk into the museum’s main hangar and see the aircraft you’ll know what I mean. What a display! There is over 100 years of aviation history to explore and I think you’ll love every minute of it!
